Towsley Village was created for seniors with Alzheimer’s and memory loss. Towsley Village is a unique facility built as a continuum of care specifically for people with all stages of memory loss.
Whether your loved one needs basic assistance with daily needs or round-the-clock, ongoing nursing and medical treatment, our experienced caregivers are dedicated to providing your loved one with heartfelt, yet highly professional care that promotes trust and well being. Staff members are sensitive to the special needs of our residents and respect their privacy while encouraging autonomy and freedom.
An Innovative "Town Center" Concept -
Our new 70,000-square-foot building includes a unique Town Center connecting
four neighborhoods. The arrangement invites movement in a safe, secure and
reminiscent environment.
The Town Center features:
· A real movie theater, where residents and visitors can enjoy an afternoon or evening out together
· A 1940’s-style café, perfect for lingering over a cup of coffee or an ice cream sundae
· A peaceful chapel, featuring favorite hymns and services
· A library, beauty/barber shop and physician’s office
· Enclosed courtyards, providing a safe environment with freedom to enjoy the outdoors
Large and Comfortable Private Rooms in a Household Setting -
Residents at Towsley Village live in spacious private rooms each with a
panoramic view of trees, the pond or the sunset, and the deer, birds and
rabbits that live just outside. Households of 11 or 12 residents share a living
room, kitchen/dining room, den, activity room, secure courtyard and enclosed
porches. Two households make up each of the neighborhoods surrounding the Town
Center.

A History of Excellence -
Serving seniors since 1907, Chelsea Retirement Community opened one of the
first residential memory loss facilities in the country and has been a
nationally recognized leader in the design and development of dementia
programming since 1983. Set on a beautifully landscaped, 57-acre campus, the
community offers a variety of accommodations and services. Towsley Village is
our latest addition and the culmination of decades of experience with
Alzheimer’s and memory loss.
