About UMRC
United Methodist Retirement Communities (UMRC)
was founded in 1906 by Methodist church leaders and laymen who
saw the need for an alternative means of caring for “the
lonely aged.” Together they sought an innovative, non-profit,
and faith-based way of filling that need.
Built on a foundation of Christian tradition, with benevolent
care as its cornerstone, UMRC has provided a safe haven for
seniors for more than a century. Today, UMRC offers a wide range
of services and living arrangements at Chelsea Retirement Community,
Boulevard Temple Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Detroit,
and at our planned community in Dexter. This continuum of care
includes independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing,
rehabilitation services, and memory loss and dementia care.
With a tradition of excellent service, a warm, caring, and professional
staff, and a commitment to cutting-edge care, UMRC is a leader
in senior living options. |
